A high-end shoe boutique housed in a period property opposite Chiltern Firehouse luxury hotel and restaurant, in London’s fashionable Marylebone district.
This premium shoe boutique offers the world’s finest footwear for taller women. Its prestigious designer shoes range from hand-made Brunates to pumps and pearl-adorned boots by the world-renowned American designer Stuart Weitzman. The brief was to create a sophisticated space with a luxurious yet understated, neutral palette in which to display this fabulous footwear in its best light.
The Zulufish team created a sumptuous showroom interior, where clients can comfortably browse and buy this fine footwear. Working with the existing period architectural features, the walls were clad with a beautiful cappuccino-coloured wallpaper that resembles ruched linen, while soft bamboo wool ivory-hued carpet was laid underfoot, forming an elegant foundation for the scheme.
Against this backdrop, a show-stopping, sculptural counter was crafted with grey Arabescato orobici marble, making an opulent statement whilst hiding the desk area where customers are served. This was complemented with a stunning display cabinet, featuring shelves in the same sumptuous stone and an antique mirror panel, subtly lit to reflect the patina pattern of the mirror, and highlight the shoes. Further display areas featuring the exquisite Arabescato marble were repeated throughout the scheme, offering a suitably rich surface on which to present the footwear.
A beautiful banquette in taupe suede and leather provides a chic seating area for clients. This is balanced with stylish Marcel Breuer-style steel and leather, cantilever chairs. Next to these seating areas are floor-to-ceiling mirrors with luxe, champagne-hued metal frames, where clients can see themselves wearing the sandals slippers and shoes.
These soft, neutral shades and sumptuous textures have resulted in a harmonious and sophisticated setting, where this fine footwear can shine.
