This futuristic home in the inclusive enclave of Saint George’s Hill, is designed to perfectly blend into the environment. Driveway access leads to a subterranean car park and the entire hill-top house is concealed from public view by surrounding woodland. Appropriately titled, sparrows nest perches high above the surrounding landscape, especially the cantilevered study, which quite literally sails out into the tree space.
The principle materials used are Corton steel and concrete with undulating, timber cladding, living walls and waterfalls, completing the palette.
The central courtyard comprises water features, sculptures, and mature planting, to emphasise the inside out connection with nature.
