The client of this Palladium villa in Chelsea, wanted to add character and life into the property, giving us a blank canvas to transform it into a family home with space for entertaining and relaxing.
Throughout, the property now features a modern palette of pale neutrals, combined with pops of bright colour within artwork and accessories. Geometric prints and metallic finishes add to the contemporary style.
Through the ground floor and first floor hallways our design team added contemporary applied beading panelling which created a backdrop for the clients’ bold artwork to take centre stage.
To maintain the original architectural detail, cornicing by Stevensons of Norwich added embellishment and further detail to the coffered ceiling. A statement chandelier by Circa Lighting completes the dramatic entrance.
The ground floor comprises a stunning formal living /dining area, home bar and library. We zoned the space through the addition of a beautiful central fireplace clad in Salvatori tiles and an expertly crafted statement grey, eucalyptus, veneer unit with brass detailing by HUX London.
This split a long corridor into a bar and cleverly designed library, separated by Xylocleaf office shelving.
A striking marble dining table adds to the grandeur of the dining room with Zig pendant lights from Marc Wood Studios adding character and completing the scheme.
On the lower ground floor a more casual, second living space is adjacent to the kitchen. Spray painted, reeded wall panelling with minimalist floating TV unit by HUX London commands one wall, while opposite, our team also created bespoke tan and blue banquette seating with integrated storage for the family to enjoy relaxed meals together.
Sliding glazed doors were designed to maximise the light and access to garden.
Between the ground and first floor we made clever use of the landing, creating a dedicated study space with shelved storage to maximise the footprint.
The modern design scheme continues through the first floor into the master suite, with cool greys and soft neutrals prevalent on the bespoke upholstered headboard.
The luxurious built in wardrobes with a mix of grooved doors and micro-shaker doors feature an inset metal effect wallpaper, elevating the clients’ desired storage space.
Finally, to create a truly bespoke experience, an additional walk-in wardrobe has been thoughtfully considered leading through to a beautiful ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and large freestanding bath taking centre stage, finished with marble sandstone linear relief tiles.
