A high-end development of nine one, two and three-bedroom new-build apartments in west London.
Affectionately once known as Soap Sud Island (due to its proximity to laundry routes serving the fine West End hotels in the 1800’s) the area is rich in culture, history and vibrancy.
The brief was to construct the building and design nine modern ‘turnkey’ apartments, with cool, modern interiors, open living spaces and luxe finishes, ready for young professionals who want understated luxury and sophisticated style, to buy and move straight in to
The design template is cohesive yet unique, with superb quality fixtures, fittings and furniture and meticulous attention to detail for each of the one, two and three bedroom apartments. Each apartment has generous aluminium floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors that open onto its own outdoor space; either courtyard gardens, balconies or expansive roof terraces, surrounded by frameless glass balustrades.
The striking kitchen cabinetry is designed by HUX London and constructed from high-quality Italian Xylocleaf and teamed with Denver grey marble worktops and finished with bronze rod handles. The cabinetry maximises the available space, conceals Bosch appliances and provides ample storage.
The well-proportioned bedrooms are kitted out with generous floor-to-ceiling wardrobes designed by HUX London, elegant textured furniture and dramatic lighting, against a palette of pale and muted hues.
This mix of organic textures and earthy, neutral shades is carried through to the living areas in subtle Arte wall-coverings, stained oak flooring and statement brass and glass lighting. The furniture and accessories are sleek and refined with a nod to contemporary Italian style, and are complemented with bold artworks by emerging artists.
In the bathrooms patterned Porcelanosa porcelain tiles combine with linear vanity units and high quality sanitary and brassware by Hans Grohe for a luxury hotel feel. Under-floor heating and an air-circulation system run throughout each of the apartments. The communal areas feature luxury wall-coverings, stylish concrete-effect wall lights, a Kone elevator and a secure bike store for residents.
